Stephanie Oliveira

I am a multi media artist living in Port Townsend Wa. Having traveled or lived in every part of the country I have happily settled on the Olympic peninsula. I have worked in and studied art since childhood. Primitive art interests and influ-ences me.

A class at the Art Museum in Austin Texas introduced me to pottery in the early 70’s. It was thrilling so I went on to study art. In the 80’s I started doing shows dedicating my efforts exclusively to Raku pottery. The shows were fun but I wanted more time in the studio working. After a few years I put my work in Galleries and only did a select few shows. In the late 90’s I turned my attention to metals, welded steel, bronze castings and fine jewelry. In 2007, we retired and moved to Port Townsend.. . I have always enjoyed creating two-dimensional pieces, but have never shown that work until the summer of 2012.
